The Team Manager is the primary point of contact, representative, and decision-maker for the team.

The Team Manager and assistants should work together to help foster a positive baseball experience for all involved.
Being a manager or an assistant coach requires time, patience, and basic knowledge of the game of baseball and most importantly a positive attitude. As a manager or coach you have the biggest impact on a kid's baseball experience. The goal, as a manager or coach, is for your players to want to play again next season.
Some Responsibilities of the Manager
Communicate with the parents to inform them of practice and game schedules, schedule changes, and Western Little League events and activities.
May need to recruit additional Assistant Coaches and a Team Mom
Develop practice plans to focus on skill development and effective utilization of your practice time.
Manage the team (Assigning defensive positions, establishing a batting order, substitution of players).
Responsible for and adhering to mandatory play and pitching regulations.
May be required to attend meetings or instructional sessions.
Must complete required Little League Trainings
As a manager or an assistant coach, you have more interaction with young people than anyone else in Little League. Therefore, it is important that you understand the goals and virtues of the Little League program in order to effectively communicate them to your players.
